Inc magazine wrote in April that email’s obsolescence, if not demise, has been predicted repeatedly over the years but still dominates the realm of communication.

  • Nearly 105 billion emails are sent each day; this number is expected to reach 246 billion before 2020.

  • There are 3.7 billion e-mail users in the world as of 2017. The number of email users in the US was projected to grow to 244.5 million by the end of 2017, and 254.7 million by 2020.

  • The number of email users worldwide is forecasted to rise to 2.9 billion by 2019.
